From Incarceration to Impact: Tremaine Smith Appears on The Redemption Project Podcast

Tremaine Smith joins Brandon Burley on The Redemption Project to discuss serving 31 years in prison, rebuilding his life, becoming an author and entrepreneur, and the power of redemption and second chances.

On July 6, 2026, I had the opportunity to sit down with Brandon Burley for an episode of The Redemption Project podcast.

The conversation was a tremendous success and provided an opportunity for me to share my journey—from being sentenced to two 40-year prison terms at the age of 15 and serving 31 years, to returning home and rebuilding my life through faith, entrepreneurship, authorship, and service to others.

During the conversation, we discussed the experiences that shaped me, the challenges of starting over after more than three decades of incarceration, and the purpose behind True Phoenix Media. We also talked about the importance of redemption, second chances, and refusing to allow your past or present circumstances to determine the rest of your life.

I sincerely appreciate Brandon Burley and The Redemption Project for providing a platform where stories of transformation can be shared honestly and openly.

I invite you to watch the full conversation below and learn more about my story, my work, and the mission behind True Phoenix Media.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this journey. This appearance represents another important step toward using my experiences to encourage others, create meaningful stories, and demonstrate what is possible when someone is given—and chooses to embrace—a second chance.
