Founded by author, entrepreneur, and selfmade rocboy Tremaine Smith, the company was created with a simple but powerful mission: to tell meaningful stories that connect with people on a human level while inspiring resilience, growth, and second chances.
At its core, True Phoenix Media is about rebuilding, like the Phoenix rising from the ashes.
The company develops books, film concepts, and multimedia projects centered on emotionally grounded storytelling that reflects real struggles, real growth, and the complicated journey of overcoming adversity. While many stories focus only on hardship, True Phoenix Media focuses on what comes after it — growth, purpose, transformation, and rebuilding a life despite the odds.
The company’s first published release, Remember the Phoenix, serves as the foundation for a larger long-term vision that includes a eleven-book literary series, film adaptations, digital storytelling, and future multimedia projects.
The Founder
Tremaine Smith’s story is one of perseverance, discipline, and rebuilding against extraordinary circumstances.
At the age of 15, Tremaine was incarcerated and ultimately served 31 years in prison after being convicted under Florida’s principal theory, despite not personally participating in the underlying crime. Even the victim testified that he was not the individual responsible, yet he was convicted after refusing to cooperate against others involved in the case.
Rather than allowing those years to define or destroy him, Tremaine committed himself to personal growth, education, legal research, writing, and self-development. Over time, writing became more than an outlet — it became purpose.
Following his release, Tremaine focused on rebuilding his life through entrepreneurship and business development. Since returning home, he has established multiple active companies, maintained businesses in good standing, filed business tax returns, and published his first novel through True Phoenix Media.
Today, his work reflects not only survival, but transformation. Through storytelling, publishing, and future film development, Tremaine hopes to create stories that inspire people to believe that adversity does not have to be the end of someone’s story.
